The Pyramid of Shadows

So, you were captured and released by the Pyramid of Shadows. You made a few allies in there – primarily Vyrellis (elf princess of the Feywild). You made some enemies (but killed them). Then there’s Gharash Vren, a dragonborn warlord. He might be an ally, he might not.

Anyway, you got home and met Balasar Zax, another dragonborn. He has sent you to meet his employer, Khellen Daros, who has a job for you.

Session Three

After a brief rest in Fallcrest, each hero found various reasons to travel to Thunderspire Labyrinth, a maze of tunnels deep beneath Thunderspire Mountain. The main settlement within the mountain is the Seven-Pillared Hall, home to many people of various races. You rescued a young halfling man named Rendil Halfmoon, who became a friend and source of information. He also put you up at his family’s place, The Halfmoon Inn.

While looking for the Bloodreavers, you happened upon a deathlock wight named Az’Al-Bani, who was looking for the Court of Bones. After you told him of the location (good roll!), he attempted to kill you. He was unsuccessful. You then discovered the location of the Bloodreavers’ hideout, killing the leader Krand and finding some information to help you locate the missing Riverdown folk. You then confronted several representatives of the Grimmerzhul Clan on their connection to the missing people. A fight erupted, and only you walked away. Towards the Horned Hold, an outpost for the Grimmerzhuls. After finding a back way into the outpost, you freed the slaves and killed the head of the Grimmerzhuls, Murkelmor. When you awoke from your rest, you found the keep abandoned. You led the freed slaves to the Seven-Pillared Hall, and you went on to have several drinks in the Halfmoon Inn.

The First Two Sessions

So, guys: The Story So Far…..

For myriad reasons, your characters traveled from the city of Vakr to the Nentir Vale. After a brief rest in Fallcrest, you traveled west, to Winterhaven, a small village near the Cairngorm Mountains.

Here, at Winterhaven, you discovered evidence of a cult of Orcus, using the abandoned ruin of Shadowfell Keep as a base. You took on a quest from Lord Padraig to clear the ruined keep and restore peace to the land.

In the midst of your quest, you rescued Douven Stahl, an explorer and archaeologist who had been captured by minions of the Orcus cult. As well, you defeated a lair full of kobolds, led by Irontooth, a goblin lieutenant of the cult’s leader, Kalarel.

Throughout the keep, you tangled with many creatures; minions of Kalarel, various undead, and even threats to the keep’s denizens (remember the blue slime and the gelatinous cube!). But at last, you persevered, defeating Kalarel (who was dragged into the portal) and clearing the keep of most threats.

Then, on your way to Thunderspire Labyrinth, you met up with Teldorthan, a dwarven armorer who needed help retrieving his dragonskin. You headed down to Kobold Hall, only to find the original occupant (kobolds) deceased and the halls home to a gang of orcs. You made short work of the orcs and returned the dragonskin (and then some) to Teldorthan in the city of Fallcrest. That is where you remain, ready to strike out for Thunderspire Labyrinth.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
